On Ambassador’s lecture at Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim Centre for Foreign Relations

Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United Republic of Tanzania H.E. Andrey Avetisyan delivered a lecture “Russia in Geopolitics” at the Centre for Foreign Relations under the authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of Tanzania named after Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim, a prominent Tanzanian diplomat.

In the course of his lecture, Ambassador Andrey Avetisyan briefed the audience on the basics of Russia’s foreign policy in the modern world with an emphasis put on Russia’s role in the formation of a multipolar world and the Ukrainian crisis. The ambassadorial lecture aroused great interest among the audience of more than two hundred students and staff members of the Centre, who had an opportunity to be given detailed answers to their questions related to the theme of the lecture.

During his visit to the Centre for Foreign Relations, Ambassador Andrey Avetisyan held a meeting with Dr. Felix Wandwe, Acting Director of the Centre. The parties expressed their interest in developing bilateral cooperation with regard to the education and training of international relations specialists.
